I am not who I want to be. I will get there. I’ve gotta keep telling myself that, for survival purposes. There are things I need to change in order to get there though. There are thirty things:
Things I need to START doing:
- Wake up by ten o’clock everyday.
- Meditate/ soak / do yoga for at least thirty minutes. Fifteen minutes of prayer/ meditation; fifteen of yoga and stretching.
- Drink one glass of water and tea everyday.
- Read my Bible before bed.
- Play guitar every night after I read my Bible.
- Spend one day a week with my mom and plan different activities.
- Go to church every Sunday and get plugged into Catch the Fire youth group.
- Watch the sunrise every Monday morning.
- Spend Tuesdays and Wednesdays as reading days, read a majority of the morning.
- Rock climb and belay at least three Saturdays out of the summer.
- Volunteer with Harrison at Mission Raleigh every other Saturday or when possible.
- Go running every Friday morning after stretching and yoga.
- Paint one painting a month/ do two photoshoots with girlfriends/ draw a drawing once a week.
- Journal everyday before/during/after guitar.
- BE HERE NOW and have one FUN creative hang out with H a week.
Things I Need to STOP doing:
- STOP GOING ON TUMBLR! Limit tumblr and frivolous computer usage to once a day and then you don’t open that tab again. I wish I could put a timer on it.
- Stop abusing your puppy harrison. He’s a doll baby and needs to be loved with encouraging words.
- No more sexuality. PERIOD. Until Marriage. Its not worth your neurotransmitters darling or your relationship. No kissing laying down.
- No fast food unless you’re getting a salad.
- No soda, Sweet tea, or juices under any circumstances. DRINK MORE WATER!
- No meat besides fish and chicken. Start going slow on poultry.
- Stop eating sugar. Cookies, ice cream, nutella. Just stop it, it’s not good for you.
- Don’t shave for a month. It could be fun.
- Stop closing my door. I shut it every time I’m in my room. Open up!! You’re running out of time.
- Stop wearing shoes altogether.
- Stop skipping church on Sunday mornings.
- Stop saying the words, “Can’t” and “Always”. Use precise language.
- Stop questioning reality. Take deep breaths and look at your hands and ACCEPT! You’re here baby!!
- Stop toying with the idea of molly and mushrooms. You’re not going there. There’s more for you to do than that. Case closed.
- “Don’t allow your wounds to transform you into someone you are not.”
